The Palmdale Infrastructure Support Project will refine and expand on the initial infrastructure analysis identified by the California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA). It will include an analysis of the existing and future planned infrastructure systems necessary to support the future Palmdale multi-modal high-speed rail station and may be used by the CHSRA to support the development of future design documents.
The project is located on the west side of 6th Street East between Avenue Q and Palmdale Boulevard in the City of Palmdale.
The project limits are defined by the City of Palmdale Transit Area Specific Plan, which is bound by Rancho Vista Boulevard to the north, Avenue R to the south, SR-14 to the west, and 15th Street to the east, and also includes the Anaverde watershed that is tributary to the Avenue R regional detention basin.
The Palmdale Transportation Center Transit & Infrastructure Design Project is being funded through the Los Angeles Metro's Measure M program in the amount of $2,000,000.
