Payment is not required until your application has been approved. You will receive an email verifying the receipt of your application. Additional information may be required. After the license fees are paid, a business account number will be issued. A business license will be mailed or emailed to you once the process is completed. Upon receipt of your business license, the City of Palmdale municipal code requires it be posted in a conspicuous place at your place of business.

Assembly Bill 783 

Effective January 1, 2024, Assembly Bill 783 requires all single-user toilet facilities in any business establishment, place of public accommodation or state or local government agency to be identified as all-gender toilet facilities by signage that complies with Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations, and designated for use by no more than one occupant at a time or for family or assisted use.

Assembly Bill 748 

Senate Bill 748 Disability Access and Information requires a city, county or city and county, in a separate document formatted as specified, to provide to that applicant a statement that the business may be subject to liability for failure to meet the legal obligation to comply with state and federal disability access laws, and information on how to obtain a CASp inspection, as specified.

Assembly Bill 3002 

Assembly Bill 3002 went into effect on January 1, 2019, which provides information regarding disability access requirements and resources to business owners.

Senate Bill 1186 (Steinberg, Disability Access)

On January 1, 2013, Government Code Section 4467 became effective, establishing the Disability Access and Education Revolving Fund and adding a state fee of $1 to all new local business licenses or renewals.

Beginning January 1, 2018, the State mandated $1 fee for accessibility training increased to $4.
