Overview

The Housing Authority addresses the shortage of safe, sanitary housing for persons of low income. It was formed in 1997 by Resolution No. 97-062 under the Guidelines and Rules in Part 2 of Division 24 of the State of California Health and Safety Code.

Meetings

Housing Authority meetings are held as needed in the Council Chamber, 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B.

The Housing Authority is made up of seven commissioners: five City Council members and two appointed tenant members. They serve two-year terms. The tenant members must be tenants in Housing Authority properties and at least one must be age 62 or older. The tenant members have the same equal voting rights as City Councilmembers. Housing Authority commissioners receive $100.00 compensation per meeting attended.
