If you are dissatisfied with the results of the administrative hearing, you may appeal the decision at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. You must request an appeal within 30 days of the hearing officer's decision as governed by California Vehicle Code Section 40215(b). You must file in person at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
There is a $25 court filing fee per citation that will be refunded if the judge rules in your favor. You must present the written administrative hearing decision at the time the appeal is filed, which becomes evidence for the court appeal.
Parking citation appeals must be filed in person at:
Stanley Mosk Courthouse
111 North Hill Street, Room 102
Los Angeles, CA 90012
The notice of appeal must be serviced at least 10 days before the hearing date to:
City of Palmdale
Office of the City Clerk
38300 Sierra Highway
Suite C
Palmdale, CA 93550
City Clerk office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The appeal is a hearing where the Court reviews the hearing officer's decision. You may not skip the initial administrative review or hearing and file immediately for a municipal court ruling.
