Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)

The City of Palmdale Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program (TBRA) is funded by the City’s HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) entitlement grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City partners with Antelope Valley Domestic Violence Council, commonly known as Valley Oasis, to provide up to one year of rental assistance to eligible senior households (age 62+) living in Palmdale rental units who are extremely low income (earning 30% or less of area median income), and whose rent is more than 50% their gross income.

TBRA supports the strategies and goals in the Los Angeles County’s Homeless Initiative (Initiative) approved by the County Board of Supervisors and the City of Palmdale’s Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness (Plan) TBRA supports:
