The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will celebrate National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) by hosing a weekly write-in each Wednesday in November.
Budding novelists are encouraged to participate in NaNoWriMo each Wednesday in November from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Library.
NaNoWriMo is an opportunity for writers worldwide to try to get to 50,000 words written in one month. The Palmdale City Library will provide a quiet space to write and handouts with writing tips and tricks. Teenagers and adults are welcome to participate in the write in. This event is free, and no registration is required.
“It’s hard to make time in our busy schedules to write, and NaNoWriMo is a wonderful way to get motivated to start and finish that great idea you have kicking around in your brain,” said Library Associate Jacqueline Seekamp.
The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
