PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale invites the community to Courson Park on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. as we showcase four downtown projects set to revitalize the civic center area by providing street, pedestrian & bicyclist improvements and a full renovation of Courson Park.
The four projects to be showcased include:
- Avenue R Complete Streets: This $20-million-dollar project will provide for street improvements along Avenue R between Sierra Highway and 25th Street East.
- Civic Center Complete Streets: This project provides for complete street improvements along 9th Street East and 10th Street East from Avenue Q-9 to Avenue Q-12.
- Avenue Q-12 Sidewalk Gap Closure: This project will provide street and parkway improvements along a segment of Avenue Q-12 (from 10th Street East to 12th Street East), the west side of 12th Street East and the east side of 11th Street East (from Avenue Q-12 to Avenue R).
- Courson Park Revitalization: This $4.15 million project will entail a complete renovation of the existing park.
