Kaleidoscope: Art & Music Festival Features Local Beer, Wine, and Food

PALMDALE – The sixth annual Kaleidoscope Art & Music Festival, a unique event that celebrates the arts in the high desert, is ready to celebrate local craft beer, wine, and food at the Palmdale Amphitheater, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd., on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission, parking, music, and many activities and experiences are free.

Join us for local craft beer and wine tasting and learn about the local talents creating these hand-crafted flavors. For this experience, you must be 21 and older with valid ID to purchase a $8 punch card, which allows you to sample four different tastes in this showcase of the Antelope Valley's best breweries & wineries.

The Art of the Vine will feature offerings from Antelope Valley’s wineries including Coruce Vineyards and Winery, Golden Star Vineyards, Stephen Hemmert Wines, and Thief & Barrel, while the Art of the Brew Craft Beer area will present Antelope Valley’s flavorful and fresh locally crafted brews from Bravery Brewing Company, Lucky Luke Brewing Company, and Transplants Brewing Company.

Food will also be featured at Kaleidoscope. Pair up your craft beer and wine samples with food offerings from local food trucks and food vendors, including Beachy's Food Truck, with a variety of authentic south of the border cuisine; Familia Barrios Catering, for tacos, quesadillas, and more; Taste of Soul on Wheels, combining soul with Mexican cuisine; Couple of Nuts, offering kettle corn and funnel cakes; Carbonara Italian Food Truck, presenting hearty lasagna and other Italian main dishes and appetizers; Tony B's Cheesesteaks, bringing traditional Philly cheesesteaks with a modern twist and innovated sandwiches; Churros Los Primos, with crispy and warm sweet treats; and, Refi Snacks, the original "wet candy." You can also purchase hand-crafted treats from vendors in our Fresh Made Market, including craft coffee from Corvo Coffee, homemade desserts from SiSi Cakes, or snacks from The Trippy Hippie Gift & Snack Shop.

The Amphitheater mainstage Tapestry Stage, and a second Mosaic Stage in the expanded portion of the festival will feature live music throughout the day and into the night. In addition to the eats, treats, and musical entertainment, Kaleidoscope offers a wide variety of artisan displays, original works, and live art demonstrations, including specular works of art created by muralists on site.

Kaleidoscope is the event to meet professional artists presenting their original works for purchase, and a great way to find unique gifts to start your holiday shopping. Works by student, novice, and hobbyist artists will be on display in the ArtLight exhibit, and people age seven and older with all skill levels may try their hand at painting with free Brush Strokes classes offered throughout the day! Come early to ensure you can reserve your spot in this free, popular art experience.

The Palmdale Amphitheater is generously sponsored by Antelope Valley Medical Center, WM, American Medical Response, Snow Orthodontics, ValleyWide Dental, Ventura Graphix, AV Mosquito & Vector Control District, Options for Youth, and Visit Palmdale.
