Homework Help Centers Return to Palmdale Locations

PALMDALE – Palmdale City Library will reopen three Homework Help Centers beginning Monday, Oct. 3, providing students ages 8 to 14 with a place to do their homework, Monday through Thursday from 2:30 to 5 p.m.  Locations include Palmdale City Library, 700 East Palmdale Blvd., Oasis Park Recreation Center, 3850 East Ave. S., and Marie Kerr Park Recreation Center, 2723-A Rancho Vista Blvd. No reservations are required to participate.

“Students need a quiet and safe place to study and do their homework, and the library and these two recreation centers are going to be that place for the youth of Palmdale,” said Palmdale City Library Director Robert Shupe.  “Drop-ins are welcome, and while in-person tutoring is not part of the service offered, there is online tutoring available through the Wi-Fi access provided at these sites.”

Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

For more information, please call the Palmdale City Library at 661/267-5600 or TDD 267-5167 or visit www.cityofpalmdale.org/library.
