Deadline Extended for Planning Commission Applications

PALMDALE - The City is accepting applications for Planning Commissioner positions in all Districts. Applicants must reside in District 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 and have the ability and willingness to attend the regular meeting of the Planning Commission, which is held on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Palmdale City Council Chamber. The application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, before 6 pm.

Commissioners receive a stipend of $100 per meeting, with a maximum of $200/per month. Applicants are encouraged to include a resume with the application submission.

As part of the final selection process, applicants will be required to pass a Livescan fingerprint submission via the California Department of Justice. If appointed, a Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 must be completed within 30 days of appointment. Interested individuals may apply online at www.cityofpalmdale.org/PlanningCommission. A hard copy of the completed application may also be e-mailed to cityclerkdepartment@cityofpalmdale.org, hand-delivered, or mailed (postmarked by the deadline) directly to the Office of the City Clerk, 38300 Sierra Hwy., Ste. C, Palmdale, CA 93550 before the Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, 6 pm deadline.
