PALMDALE – The City is hosting an Illegal Dumping Action Plan Update meeting on Thursday, March 9, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Legacy Commons Auditorium, 930 E Ave Q-9. We invite residents, businesses, and groups to come to the meeting ready to meet with staff and learn of the City’s current efforts, share ideas, and find collaborative solutions to help curb and prevent illegal dumping in our community.
“Combatting illegal dumping remains a priority for this Council,” said Mayor Laura Bettencourt. “We look forward to connecting with our residents to show a united community working against this problem that impacts our overall quality of life. We continue to explore new approaches and ideas from engaged residents, businesses, and organizations in the fight to curb illegal dumping and make our City even more beautiful.”
In 2021, the City released its Illegal Dumping Action Plan, a comprehensive plan to address the problematic issue of illegal dumping. Interested residents can view the document at https://www.cityofpalmdaleca.gov/1168/Illegal-Dumping-Action-Plan.
