Road Construction Update for May 29 through June 4, 2023 

General Road Construction: 

1.    Town Center Drive between Heathrow Drive and 30^th Street West 

Intermittent lane closure of the #2 eastbound lane on Town Center Drive between Heathrow Drive and 30^th Street West for Landscape Assessment Districts tree trimming. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

2.    Avenue R between 15^th Street East and Lasker Avenue 

Intermittent lane closure of the #2 eastbound lane of Avenue R between 15^th Street East and Lasker Avenue for graffiti abatement. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

3.    Desert Sands Park 

Intermittent parking lot, parking space and walking path closures at Desert Sands Park for Parks chain link fence repairs. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

4.    FULL CLOSURE - 10^th Street East from Palmdale Boulevard to Avenue R 

Full closure on 10^th Street East. Detours will be in place over to 11^th Street East from both Avenue R and Palmdale Boulevard. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays.

5.    Avenue R at Division Street 

Various lane closures at the intersection for utility installations. Please pay attention to the temporary traffic control, slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

6.    Avenue R at 45^th Street East 

Lane closures and reductions on Avenue R and/or 45^th Street East for street construction. Please pay attention to the temporary traffic control, slow down for the work zone, and expect delays. 

7.    17^th Street East from Palmdale Boulevard to 500’ n/o Palmdale Boulevard 

Lane closure on 17^th Street East for water service installation. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

8.    Domenic Massari Park 

Intermittent parking lot, parking space and walking path closure at Domenic Massari Park for sports field renovations. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

9.    Sam Yellen Park 

Intermittent parking lot, parking space and walking path closure at Sam Yellen Park for sports field renovations. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

10.  Rancho Vista Boulevard between 10^th Street West and Country Club Drive 

Intermittent lane closure of the #3 eastbound lane of Rancho Vista Boulevard between 10^th Street West and Country Club Drive for graffiti abatement. Please slow down for the work zone and expect delays. 

11.  Avenue R between Sierra Highway and 25^th Street East 

Intermittent lane closures on both sides of Avenue R for power pole removals by AT&T and Charter Communications. Please slow down for the construction zone and expect delays.
