[ARCHIVED] Animal Services Feasibility Study Presentation Planned

Community Invited to Hear Project Outline

PALMDALE – The community is invited to attend a presentation by Animal Arts and Team Shelter USA on Thursday, Aug. 3 at 6 pm at Marie Kerr Park Recreation Center, 2723 Rancho Vista Blvd. Residents will learn about industry trends, best practices, and how to serve pets and people best. 

The City of Palmdale engaged Animal Arts and Team Shelter USA to provide a feasibility study to identify the most effective animal services programming. The presentation will include the pillars of those recommendations, which will be presented by Dr. Sara Pizano, Team Shelter USA founder, veterinarian, and animal welfare strategist.

Team Shelter USA is a national consulting firm that helps municipal and private animal shelters reach their full potential. Dr. Pizano has worked with than 130 shelters in 24 states, improving all systems to include effective public policy, field services, municipal contracts, community safety net programs, population management, and live outcome programs.
