The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., continues its Mid-Week Movies program with a showing of the movie Aladdin (2019), rated PG, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 5:30 pm. Admission and popcorn are free.
A live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated 1992 film, Aladdin tells the tale of a street urchin who, after rescuing the princess, tries to win her heart with the help of a genie (Will Smith) trapped in a magic lamp and ends up having to work with the genie to stop an evil sorcerer who plans to overthrow the sultan.
The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. Upcoming movies scheduled to be shown include Bend It Like Beckham (2002) rated PG-13 on Jan. 15, The Rundown (2003) rated PG-13 on Jan. 22, and Toy Story 4 (2019) rated G on Jan. 29.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
