The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., continues its Mid-Week Movies program with a showing of the movie The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018) rated PG on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. Admission & popcorn are free.
Fantastical events occur in the most unexpected places when ten-year-old Lewis goes to live with his oddball uncle in a creaky old house that contains a mysterious `tick tock' noise. Lewis soon learns that Uncle Jonathan and his feisty neighbor, Mrs. Zimmerman, are powerful practitioners of the magical arts. His new town's sleepy facade jolts to life when Lewis accidentally awakens the dead, revealing a secret and dangerous world of warlocks, witches and deadly curses. Starring Jack Black, Cate Blanchett and Owen Vaccaro.
The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. Upcoming movies scheduled to be shown include and Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018) rated PG on Oct. 30, The Kid Who Would Be King rated PG on Nov. 6; Alpha rated PG, on Nov. 13; Frozen rated PG, on Nov. 20; and Hairspray rated PG, on Nov. 27.

The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
