Monday, November 4 

Kindness Rocks4 pm. Bringing the community together to spread kindness by painting rocks for others to find. Paint and rocks are provided. Free admission, open to all ages.

 

Tuesday, November 5 & 19

Legal Aid for Low Income Individuals3 to 6 pm. Services provided by the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles by appointment only. Call the library at 267-5600 to schedule.


Wednesday, November 6

Midweek Movies5:30 pm. The Kid Who Would Be King (2019), rated PG. Free admission, open to all ages.


Saturday, November 9

Sagan Birthday Celebration 3 pm. Celebrate Carl Sagan’s birthday with a craft! Show off your creativity by making your very own Phases of the Moon Wreath or Space Wreath. Ages 10 and up.


November 11, 28 & 29

Library Closedthe library will be closed due to the Holidays.


Tuesday, November 12

Coffee & Coloring for Adults, 10 am. We provide the coffee and coloring supplies, you provide the conversation and creativity.


STEAM Thinkshop, 4 pm. Ages 5 to 11. Enjoy activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics in a “hands on” environment.


Wednesday, November 13

Midweek Movies5:30 pm. Alpha (2018), rated PG-13. Free admission, open to all ages.


Thursday, November 14

Page to Screen, 5 pm. Read the book then join us for a showing of the movie, we will discuss the book-to-movie adaptations, debating the age-old question of which one is better.


Friday, November 15

Paint, Draw, Create 2 pm. Art class for all ages with Juanita McWilliams. Flex your artistic muscles and unleash your creativity as we paint/draw spring. All ages welcome.



Tuesday, November 19 & 26

Preschool Storytime, 1 pm. Ages 3–5 with Miss Shay.


Tuesday, November 19

Wii U Tournament, 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Come play video games at your local library. Open to all.

 

African-American Authors Book Club6:45 pm. All adults welcome. Discussion of a new title by African-American authors each month.


Wednesday, November 20 & 27

Toddler Storytime, 9:15 and 10:15 am (2 sessions) with Miss Shay. Ages 12-36 months.


Wednesday, November 20

Mystery Book Club, 7 pm. A new mystery title to discuss each month.


Midweek Movies5:30 pm. Frozen (2013) rated PG. Free admission, open to all ages.

Bilingual Storytime, 10 am. All ages, with Miss Maria.


Storycrafters Club, 3:30 pm. For children age 5-9. Join us for a monthly story and craft program.

Classics Book Club, 7 pm. With a new title each month.


Tuesday, November 26 

Books and Barks, 3:30 pm to 5 pm. Build your kids’ reading skills by letting them read to friendly, non-judgmental dogs in one of our most popular events.

Midweek Movies5:30 pm. Hairpray (2007) rated PG. Free admission, open to all ages.

Fusebead Mondays – 4-6:30 pm. Park staff will offer kids templates for fall and holiday themed creations. All ages welcome.

 

Tuesday, November 5, 12, & 19 Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Turkey Tuesdays, 4-6:30 pm. Families are welcome to come celebrate the holiday with fun themed crafts and activities. All ages welcome.

Palettes in the Park4:30-5:30 pm.  Recreation staff will offer paint ideas for children. Acrylic paint, brushes, and canvases are provided free. Space is limited; with no reservations taken.  While this event is ages 8+, a parent needs to be present for child participation.

 

Wednesday, November 6, 13, & 20 - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Free Play, 4-6:30 pm.  Patrons have the chance to have some fun with our equipment, lawn games and different activities that aren’t frequently out in the parks. All ages welcome.

 

Thursday, November 7, 14, & 21  - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Throwback Thursdays4-6:30 pm. Travel back in time to the 70s, 80s, or 90s! Activities based on decade iconic art. See park staff for upcoming planned activities. All ages welcome.


Friday, November  8, 15, & 22- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Fairy Tale Fridays, 4-6:30 pm. Bring your princes and princesses to the park to make some magical art. All ages welcome.

 

Saturday, November 9, 16, 23 & 30- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Tots Hour, 9:30-10:30 am. Tots will be provided with free hands-on activities that give them the opportunities to explore their world through a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences. Ages 2-5.


Surprise Saturdays10 am-2 pm. Check in with park staff to see what they have planned for the day.  Activities may include crafts and/or games.  Ages 8+. Free.



Sunday, November  10, 17, & 24 - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr

Sports Day! – 10 am-12 pm. Bring your family and friends out to the park for some football, kickball, tennis or others! Select equipment available for check out, see park staff for details. All ages welcome.



Saturday, November 9- Yellen Dog Park

Yappy Hour- Thankful Edition2-3pm. In partnership with P.A.W.S. Saturday, November 16– Marie Kerr

AV Gem & Mineral Club, 1-3 pm.  The City of Palmdale is partnering with the AV Gem and Mineral Club in presenting free educational and recreational fun that surrounds our everyday life.  Members from the club will share their knowledge, experiences, and answer your questions.  Families are encourage to attend.

American Classic Christmas6 to 8 pm. The fifth annual American Classic Christmas returns with holiday music, the festivities will include a community sing-along and other live entertainment.  The event is free and open to the public. Housing Rights Legal Clinic NLSLA, 9 am to 12 pm at SAVES, 1002 E Ave Q-12.  The NLSLA team provides free assistance to individuals and families dealing with Reentry; clear your adult criminal record; fix errors on background reports; if your professional license is denied or revoked; understand your employment rights and new Fair Chance Hiring Laws. Free Legal Help for homeowners & tenants; issues with fair housing, eviction or homelessness, Section 8 issues, rent increases and unsafe living conditions.
